My Story

Bishop Joseph Persaud stands as a beacon of visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the Evangel Church of God, where he currently holds the esteemed position of Senior Pastor. His dedication to the church is underpinned by his deep-seated love for people and an impeccable life marked by integrity. In the course of his ministry, Bishop Persaud's leadership prowess was recognized on a global scale. From 2017 to 2021, he was appointed the Global Director for the Caribbean Region by Capitol Ministries, a para-church organization committed to making disciples within the political sphere. Moreover, for over a decade, Bishop Persaud has dutifully served the New Testament Churches in Guyana, holding the role of Administrative Bishop. Educationally, Bishop Persaud's credentials are profound. He boasts a degree in Biblical Studies from the National Bible College in Ft. Washington, MD, USA. Beyond his theological education, he is a Class I Grade 1 trained teacher, an accolade he achieved after graduating from the Cyril Potter College of Education in 1991. His commitment to leadership and growth is further evidenced by his recent certification as a member of the John Maxwell Team. Bishop Persaud's reputation as a dynamic preacher and teacher of the Gospel is widely acknowledged. This accolade is further solidified by his distinction as the longest-serving senior Pastor of the Harvestime New Testament Church of God in Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara. With a gift for eloquent speech and spiritual insight, he is a sought-after Convention Speaker, having been invited to platforms in Africa, India, the USA, Canada, and throughout the Caribbean. Behind every great man, there's often a great partner. Bishop Persaud's life journey has been beautifully complemented by his college sweetheart, Rev. Diana Persaud. Together, they celebrate the blessings of their three children: Jessica, Jesse, and Jessiana.
